PARKING
A new draft parking strategy is
shortly to be released by MSDC for consultation. HHDBA is
very much part of the process, joining with the Business
Associations of Burgess Hill and East Grinstead to underline
the umbilical cord between parking and business in the three
towns. Ian Goodridge is leading for us and if you have any
views on the future parking strategy, do let him know at
orchards.ian@zen.co.uk.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
HHDBA has been taking a leading part in working with the
Council as they prepare an economic development action
plan. Members will receive a brief on this separately.
THE FUTURE OF HAYWARDS HEATH
As members will recall, we consulted you about headline
priorities for business in Haywards Heath. We have now
joined with the Town Council MSDC and other organisations in
Haywards Heath to take part in a
consultation meeting to see how we can reach a consensus on
the way forward in the post-Thornfield era.
HAYWARDS HEATH TOWN DAY
The HHDBA Town Centre Group has been working closely with
the Town Council to set up Town Day on 11th September. The
event will be bigger and better than ever before and will
include an Eco-Fair. More details soon.
